RMEF Bull Run Annual Banquet UPDATE

I wanted to provide a little update on our Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) Bull Run Chapter Annual Banquet that was held this past Saturday.

We had a great turnout in attendance this year even though we were experiencing August like weather with the temps in the 90s with high humidity. We met some new friends and some new potential committee members. We raised some good money for the RMEF, which will be greatly utilized in the reintroduction of elk in Virginia.

Here are some photos of the event:

Free MUDDY Gear on Facebook!!!

By now most of you have your tree stands up, your ladders in place, and your safety harnesses and bow in your truck, so you can be up a tree in a matter of minutes.  Many of you are probably kicked back checking emails after spending many hours hunting, thinking of the big one that got away.  Well, here is what we would like you to do.

Muddy Outdoors will be giving away Hunter Pro tree stands, Muddy Outdoors Safeguard Safety Harnesses, and Muddy Outdoors climbing sticks each Monday during the month of November.

Here is how to qualify.

Muddy Outdoors started a Facebook page several months ago and we have recently begun to add content to that page.  We want YOU to become a fan of the Muddy Outdoors Facebook page.  We will be able to track FANS added from October 19th – November 30th and will draw a name each Monday during the month of November.  The winner will get to pick one of the three items mentioned above.  We will announce the winners through a post on the Facebook page, Muddy Outdoors’ website, as well as by contacting you directly.  We encourage you to pass the word on to your fellow hunters.

Okay, what if I am not a member of Facebook?  We suggest you join the social internet site.  We have many friends and organizations out there in Facebook Nation that we know you would be interested in seeing – Midwest Whitetail, Whitetail Affliction, Heartland Bowhunter, Mathews, Inc., and a whole bunch more.

Thank you to all who are helping us out on our quest into the land of social networking and good luck this season out in the woods.

Last but certainly not least, Get MUDDY!!!

Muddy Ready to Ship Climbing Sticks

Muddy OutdoorsAfter what seemed like years in the making, our new climbing sticks and Safeguard harnesses are in stock and ready to ship.  We have filled our dealer orders and are now ready to ship from our warehouse.  Please take a look at the dealer finder on our web site to find your nearest stocking Muddy dealer.

While we are adding dealers daily, we realize that many parts of the country do not have a local pro shop for you to buy Muddy.  If you don’t find a dealer close by, feel free to order directly from our secure server.  Most orders ship the same day from our Missouri warehouse.  Please tell your local dealer about our product line if you like what you see.  We appreciate the help. Muddy Update

Muddy Outdoors

Muddy Outdoors went live last week with their new website.  While the look and feel is much like their old website, they have added many new features and an exciting new contest.

Please take a look at the commercial contest.  They hope to get a ton of entries and look forward to your videos.  The prizes will hopefully provide you some motivation to send your best stuff.  Online voting allows everyone to help pick the winner.

They have a renewed commitment to keeping GoMuddy.com the best site in the industry.  Relevant information and current events will be posted frequently.  Feel free to send them your comments on what else you would like to see on our site.

Hopefully, very shortly their new Climbing Sticks will be ready to ship. I have been waiting since February to get my hands on a set! Their design of sticks have eliminated the meatl buckle, which means faster and quieter set-ups! [Read more…]

The 54th Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show

The 54th Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show opened this weekend and runs through Sunday February 15th.  Over 1,200 of the best hunting, fishing and outdoor companies, a “try before you buy” archery range and casting pond, great show specials, lots of fun kids’ events, plus exciting special guest including:

Gregg Ritz
Larry Weishuhn
Lee & Tiffany Lakosky
Mark Menendez
Matt Morrett
Michael Wadell
Randy Anderson
Randy Oitker
Rick Malik
Rick White
The Benoits
Ward Burton

I met Lee & Tiffany Lakosky, granted it was for 3 minutes, but they were very down-to-earth people! They took the time to answer everyone’s questions, no matter how goofy they were and patient enough to have multiple pictures taken. Tiffany’s Mom was running the register, selling merchandise for their new show “The Crush” and answering her own hunting adventure questions. Let’s hope that they come back next year and maybe bring their friends Don & Kandi Kisky along!

I was very impressed with the Muddy Outdoors gear. They offer three innovative tree stand models, a one-of-a-kind safety harness system (I will review later), and a unique and affordable camera arm. They will soon be releasing what they claim to be “The BEST climbing sticks ever!” They are extremely quiet and easily packable as they snap on to each other. They have a patent pending dual geared steps that provided sure footing. And their revolutionary rope cams replace the old noisy metal buckles and still provide a very stable attachment to the tree. The steps are20” each and 4 of them weigh around 10lbs. They will offer them in a 4 pack and single pack, due out in the summer of this year.

The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show costs just $11.50 per advance online purchased ticket, offers no-cost parking at Bass Pro Shops-Harrisburg, PA and features:

  • Great show specials on the gear, tackle and trips to help your next adventure be successful.
  • 1st ever appearances by manufacturers like Thompson Center Arms, Fred Bear Archery, Steelforce broadheads, Leland Lures, Tombob Lures and Sunbuster Sport Enhancement Eyewear.. showcasing new products.
  • Complimentary sampling of recipes featuring venison, elk and trout at the The Taste of the Great Outdoors on Tuesday, February 10th.
