Mystery Ranch Crew Cab Review

Mystery Ranch NICE Crew Cab, Hilleberg Soulo

Mystery Ranch NICE Crew Cab, Hilleberg Soulo

I have been using the Mystery Ranch Crew Cab for a little over 3 years now. During this time I have been using it as a day pack and “not” as a meat hauler, with no thanks to “Lady Luck” in getting me any tags!

I have used the Mystery Ranch Crew Cab for my western Muley and Elk hunts, normal daily whitetail hunts, family outings and some scouting/tree stand hanging trips. To date I have yet to peak over the 40lb mark, but up to this weight the pack rides like and feels great during the hike and even the next day. Imagine that…no sore back! [Read more…]

100 Years Are Being Erased

Next week is the deadline for public comments for Montana’s wolf season.  You may not live in Montana, but this message is very important for all sportsmen in America.

While Idaho has begun efforts to reduce wolf populations, wolf numbers in Montana continue to increase. Defenders of Wildlife has announced a significant newspaper ad campaign in Montana’s Missoulian newspaper.  The ad declares in part that “Wolves Improve the Health of Herds and Habitat.”  In fact, it appears that DOW has raised $40,000 for this campaign.  To see more on this ad campaign visit:

As you are aware, Big Game Forever was built to counter grass roots efforts to undermine our right to hunt and fish.  In that vein, Big Game Forever will also run a major newspaper ad campaign this weekend in many Montana Newspapers.  Our goal is to raise $50,000 to share the facts about what unmanaged wolves have meant for Montana.   Here is a copy of our ad:

This ad will be two-full pages and will run in seven different newspapers across the state of Montana. Total readership for these 7 papers is 400,000 people.  Help support the Big Game Forever newspaper ad campaign by donating today at:  [Read more…]

Brave Movie

Pixar “Brave” Movie

SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. – If Friday’s release of the movie “Brave” draws girls and boys toward archery, the state’s Wildlife Resources Division is ready to help them learn and grow in the sport.

“Brave,” produced by Pixar and distributed by Disney, features a young Scottish princess named Merida whose headstrong nature and archery skills tip her kingdom into chaos.

Like the recent young adult sci-fi film “The Hunger Games,” which centers on a heroine who also is a skilled archer, “Brave” is expected to spark interest in archery among the young. But interest was surging before Hollywood hit the bull’s-eye. Participation in Georgia’s state tourney for the National Archery in the Schools Program has increased every year, said Walter Lane, hunter development program manager for the Wildlife Resources Division, part of the Department of Natural Resources.
