Geigerrig Rig Cadence Hydration Vest – Review

Geigerrig Rig CadenceI was on the search for a hydration solution, that would functional enough to use from trail half marathons to Spartan Beast Races.

This solution would have to be lightweight, low-profile, pockets to store supplements, support at least a 1.5 liter water bladder, no chaffing and allow me to mobilize through obstacles during an OCR event.

My search resulted in choosing the Geigerrig Rig Cadence Hydration Vest! [Read more…]

RMEF Maintains Stance: No Sale or Transfer of Public Lands

Rocky Mountain Elk FoundationMISSOULA, MT—The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation maintains its long-standing stance in adamantly opposing the sale or transfer of federal lands to states.

“We have always been against the sale or transfer of our public lands but now we’re seeing some western state legislatures mulling or taking action that could lead to that happening. We’re also hearing some chatter on the federal level,” said David Allen, RMEF president and CEO. “This is dangerous for two reasons. First, it could result in the privatizing of these lands and the subsequent permanent loss of public access for hunters, anglers, hikers and others. Second, this discussion is a smoke screen of sorts that does nothing to address the real issue of the crucial need for active management of our forests.” [Read more…]

Adventure Plans?

Kaikoura, New Zealand 001

If you could hunt anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If you could try any new outdoor activity, what would it be?

If you could go to anyplace in the world where would you go?

Would you go freediving in Ibiza? Or hiking and trail running in Verbier?

Or if a colder destination is on the cards for you, have you ever considered going to Iceland? There are so many things that you can see and do, like experiencing their many beautiful waterfalls like Svartifoss, (, as well as catching a glimpse of The Northern Lights creating beautiful colours in the night sky. The Aurora Borealis is the best place to get a good view, so renting a car to navigate the roads could be important. You don’t want to miss out on anything after all.

When it comes to going to Iceland, or going on an adventure holiday elsewhere, you are creating memories that will last a lifetime. Very few people get to experience these types of attractions, so making sure you’re one of them will give you the ultimate bragging rights to your friends. So, make sure you plan a holiday or adventure excursion that meets the needs of what you’re looking for.

Go on then, answer the question. Where would you go?

“After winning the lottery” I would love to bow hunt in New Zealand. I have been “chomping at the bit”, to get back to Montana, Colorado, Wyoming for a family vacation, and if it’s early September, hitting the backcountry to chase some elk!

Please, leave a comment and let us know your plans!
