Blue & Gray 1st Annual Banquet and Fundraiser

If you love good times and the outdoors like we do, you won’t want to miss the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Blue & Gray Chapter’s 1st annual banquet and fundraiser. We guarantee you a great time supporting a great cause!
This year’s banquet is on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 at Middletown, VA Fire Dept. Social Hall (Exit 302-I 81) .
Doors open at 5:00 PM. During the “social hour” you’ll enjoy drawings, raffles, games, drinks (BYOB), and the silent auction. Dinner and live auction will follow.Proceeds from this event will go to support RMEF’s vital conservation efforts. Need proof? Since 1984, the Elk
Foundation has:
– Permanently protected more than 1,500 square miles of critical elk habitat.
– Opened more than 626,875 acres to the public to hunt, fish and roam.
– Improved nearly 5 million acres of habitat across elk country.
– Funded more than 7,000 projects to promote conservation education and North America’s hunting heritage.
Few organizations can boast such numbers – a reflection of the efficiency that earned RMEF a 4-star rating from
Charity Navigator.

Local RMEF chapter events raise the lion’s share of the funding for Elk Foundation conservation work. The Elk
Foundation emphasizes habitat conservation in states with wild elk herds, but a portion of Big Game Banquet funds raised in Virginia are kept in-state to benefit local conservation education and hunting heritage activities that introduce young people and women to the outdoors, promote hunter safety and responsibility, provide physically challenged individuals with a hunting experience, and involve youth in conservation.

Be sure to act quickly to reserve your spot and take advantage of the 2 for 1 deal on General Raffle tickets. All of your tickets will be held for you at the door and given to you upon arrival. No confirmation will be sent prior to
the banquet so feel free to call and confirm if you would like to.

I hope to see you at the banquet. Together, we’ll make a lasting impact on elk country and our hunting heritage.

Yours in Conservation,
Joann Evans
