BowCast at the Bird 3D Shoot

BowCast at the Bird 3D ShootPrime Bows by G5 Outdoors is the official partner of this year’s “BowCast at the Bird”.

This year Prime has partnered with “The Total Archery Challenge” to promote the 5th annual BowCast at the bird. BowCast at the Bird is a world-renowned 3D archery shoot and outdoor expo that began in 2009. This 3D archery shoot gives exhibition archers, hunters, novice and professional shooters the opportunity to try their skills in real world situations. Hosted at the exquisite SnowBird Resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon, participants can ride up the high-speed trams starting at about 8,000 feet to the top of the mountain at approximately 11,000 feet and then walk down the mountain shooting at 3D targets as they descend.

There will be an optional pop-up course, and several novelty shots including the chance to win a truck or side by side located at the base of the mountain within walking distance of the expo.

The high-speed trams will run from 9am until 4pm each day for archers, but the lower course will stay open until 6pm, to allow the participants a chance to shoot at all the targets.

There is also a race that will be hosted during the event called “The Mountain Mile”. This “Bowathlon” pits archers against the clock. The race covers 1 mile of the mountain with ascent and descent of over 1000 feet and 5 targets to shoot at. The participants must hit a minimum of 3 targets to qualify for the prize purse that will include cash and prizes in excess of $1,500 hundred dollars for each division.

The expo area will have multiple vendors with innovative archery products and gear so that participants can purchase new products and services. Total Archery Challenge will be providing a secure bag drop area so that participants do not have to carry products up the mountain with them.

There is also a target range that will have free instruction for novice and beginning archers. Participants can register online,, and get a free T-shirt, something that will not be available with day of registrations. This is a true family fun event with multiple outdoor activities available at the event itself and others available at the SnowBird resort.

This event is one event that brings the whole family together, with an outstanding venue, spectacular shots and one of a kind family fun it is a must do on the list of summer fun.

A family-owned business from the start, the story of G5 Outdoors began in 1966 with the founding of Grace Engineering in Memphis, Michigan. In 2001, G5 was created and the Montec TM, an all-steel, one-piece, 3 blade broadhead was launch and is still their top-selling broadhead today.

Besides offering both fixed and mechanical broadheads, G5 also offers accessories for your bow, such as sights, quivers, rests and peeps.

Ten years later, Prime Bows was launched with one goal in mind, to engineer the most accurate bow on the planet. This is achieved through using revolutionary Parallel Cam technology, which eliminates horizontal nock travel and cam lean.
