ATA Partners with NRA’s Great American Outdoor Show

ATA - Archery Trade AssociationNEW ULM, Minn. — The Archery Trade Association is partnering with the National Rifle Association to help promote archery and bowhunting in February during the NRA’s new Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, Pa.

This nine-day event – scheduled for Feb. 1-9 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center – replaces the former Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show, which shut down earlier this year after its owner, Reed Exhibitions, sparked a boycott by banning AR-style rifles and high-capacity magazines at the event. Virginia Libraries Cater to Teens Hungry for Archery

NEW ULM, Minn. — Teens in Loudoun County can feed their need for archery thanks to a hands-on program based on “The Hunger Games” book series.

Six area libraries will host day-long events incorporating the Archery Trade Association’s (ATA) Explore Bowhunting program, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF). [Read more…]

“Governor Romney’s choice of Paul Ryan could not be more appropriate for the country, for small businesses like our ATA member companies and for bowhunters, archers and conservationists,” said Jay McAninch, ATA CEO/president. “Paul has been a great friend of our industry and has worn the bowhunting label proudly as he’s advanced in his career and become a key policymaker here in Washington DC.
