Under Armour Footwear with GORE-TEX

ELKTON, Md. (January 18) – W.L. Gore & Associates (“Gore”) (www.gore.com), inventor of GORETEX ® high performance fabric technology, today announced it is joining forces with Under Armour, Inc. (“Under Armour”) (NYSE:UA) (www.underarmour.com) to create a line of versatile hunting footwear for Fall 2011. The line will be unveiled at the SHOT Show this week in Las Vegas, Nevada (January 18-21). The line represents Under Armour’s first footwear offering in the hunting category and will include five styles enabled with the GORE-TEX® brand: UA Speed Freek, UA Breech, UA Ridge Reaper, UA Caliber and UA Siberia. Under Armour will be unveiling the new styles in Booth #11044.

“Gore has been in the hunting world for more than 25 years, engineering fabrics that have optimized the choice and  functionality of the hunting gear landscape,” said Mike Adams, Hunting footwear product specialist at Gore. “We’re proud to work with Under Armour and look forward to a long relationship between two brands that meet the needs of hunters for comfort and protection.” The line includes five boots featuring GORE-TEX® durable waterproof/breathable lining and is
intended for broad hunting applications, from the tree stand hunter to the western elk, deer or traditional hunter.

We share the strong belief with Gore that boots are not just a category of footwear, but an important piece of gear.” The boots in the new line range from MSRP $170 to $270 and will be available at retail starting
August, 2011.
